Why Honey?

Honey is an excellent humectant, which means it attracts and retains moisture. If skin loses its ability to retain moisture then it appears wrinkled and dry. Honey maintains skin suppleness and elasticity. Honey also acts as an anti-irritant, making it suitable for sensitive skin and child care products. It contains a variety of flavonoids and phenolic acids which act as antioxidants, scavenging and eliminating free radicals. In addition, Honey naturally contains vitamins and minerals, including niacin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. These help to nourish the skin.

Why Oatmeal?

Oatmeal baths have traditionally been recommended as a treatment for people with a variety of sensitive skin conditions. Because of its gluten content, oat derivatives have an enhanced ability to absorb moisture and relieve dry, itchy, irritated skin. Nu-Born® uses oatmeal as a therapeutic, soothing topical emollient. Emollients serve two functions; they prevent dryness and protect the skin acting as a barrier and healing agent. Natural emollients are recognized and metabolized by the skin’s own enzymes and helps absorption. Additionally, it is readily biodegradable, and has no contamination concerns.

Why Collagen?

Collagen is the main structural protein that keeps the skin tight and elastic. Unfortunately, conventional collagen marketed   in many skin care products are not effective as their collagen molecules are too large to make it through the skin. Nu-Born® collagen uses proprietary Carrier Food Factors® (CFF), a targeted delivery technology to ensure its bioavailability and effectiveness. CFF uses a combination of exclusive peptides and proteins, to carrying and deliver the active nutrients to a specific site. This bio-carrier know-how is the same science that is used by the pharmaceutical industry as the cutting-edge delivery technique for their top-end products.
